At Matplast, our goals are clear: to surpass our customers' highest expectations and to build long-term relationships based on trust and mutual success. To meet these expectations, we have obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, ensuring our processes meet international standards of quality and efficiency.
Recognizing the importance of environmental protection, we were pioneers in implementing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in Romania. This demonstrates our commitment to sustainable development, preserving the welfare of future generations.
Furthermore, at the beginning of 2006, we also obtained the Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS) Management System certification. This was naturally replaced in 2018 by the current ISO 45001 certification, underscoring our commitment to providing a healthy and safe work environment for our employees.
At Matplast, innovation, quality, and sustainability are at the core of our activities. Join us on this journey as we continue to push the boundaries of excellence and shape the future of tool manufacturing.
These tools create precise flares at the ends of various metal tubes, such as steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel. These flanges are essential for creating leak-proof connections, ensuring a tight, sealed fit between the tubes and fittings in various applications like cooling and hydraulic systems.
3D milling involves the cutting tool moving along three axes: X, Y, and Z. This method is often used for manufacturing mechanical parts, as well as for slot milling, drilling, and sharp edge cutting.
5D milling is a process where the cutting tool moves across five different axes. This allows for the manufacturing of more complex parts, such as aerospace components or automotive, construction, medical, or military products. The multi-dimensional rotation provides exceptional precision and refinement.
The milling machine precisely guides the milling tool, which begins to remove material from the graphite block to achieve the intended shape. The milling process is continuously monitored and refined to ensure the electrode's accurate shape and size. Once the electrode is completed, it can be further processed, such as by polishing and cleaning, to better meet the final application requirements. The finished product is further utilized, employed in block EDM.
We apply block EDM for inserts at various injection molding tools. We use a block tool made from red copper or graphite for this. On the workpiece, we shape the desired forms with a spatial electrode by simultaneously moving the X, Y, Z, and C axes. This results in shapes that could not be machined by other methods. During the process, the movement of electrodes in all directions ensures precise shape formation.
Our wire EDM machines allow for shaping workpieces even after heat treatment, regardless of hardness. All types of metal materials can be processed, including copper and aluminum, and can efficiently create surfaces with straight lines.
Plastic injection moulding is an efficient technology for the production of large batches of plastic parts. During the process, polymer particles are melted and then injected into a mould, where they cool and solidify. These thermoplastic materials can be colored or enhanced with additives. This technology enables the cost-effective mass production of identical parts.
